    Kim Mi Poong is a North Korean defector with a bright and easy-going personality studying dance at the Pyongyang University. One day she has to flee to Seoul because of a family problem and there she meets Lee Jang Go. He is a honest South Korean lawyer who really wants to help people. Although he has been working as a lawyer for two years, he’s still poor and alternates between the only two pairs of suits that he owns despite his co-workers calling him unfashionable. Essentially, Jang Go is the male version of Candy. The story is about the happenings that occur when one day a lonely old man on death’s door discovers that he has a grandchild, a fight for a chaebol’s inheritance and a Romeo-Juliet love story.

Bitter over an unforeseen defeat to rival states Shu and Wu, Cao Cao (Fengyi Zhang) of the Wei Kingdom is confident that his million-man fleet will crush the under-manned alliance once and for all. An epidemic and seasickness cripple Cao Cao's men, however, postponing D-day. Gen. Zhou Yu (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) and strategist Zhuge Liang (Takeshi Kaneshiro) take the time to demoralize their enemy, and trick Cao Cao into practically giving them 100,000 arrows and even beheading his top generals. Nevertheless, the allies are still seriously outnumbered and can only increase their chances of winning by attacking with fire. A northwester, however, compromises their plan, as the flames would blow back in their direction. Zhuge Liang, foreseeing an astronomical movement that will change the circumstances, urges the allies to postpone the attack. As he lays dying, the plot backtracks important stations of Yi's life, from his boyhood to his military career, his disgrace at the hands of his king and his reinstatement, back to the battle of Noryang, where he succumbs to his wound just as victory is declared.
