Spanning 6 years, you knew this upload was gonna come from me sooner or later. I give you the trilogy of A Moment of Romance, which made Andy Lau and Wu Chien-Lien stars, inspired many parodies all over (especially Needing You...) and made people shed so much tears, that it would've flooded the cinema. A Moment of Romance A story of a bank heist that almost ended in disaster (for the robbers) until their getaway driver Wah Dee (Andy Lau) took a young woman Jo Jo(Jacklyn Wu) hostage. After preventing her from getting killed by his accomplices, both began a forbidden relationship causing mayhem and chaos for their friends and family. A Moment of Romance II Aaron plays Frank, a young fellow whom under some sort of guilty feeling following his mother's death, summits to the rebellious life of his own and commits himself to the world of illegal street racing rather than having an established and glamorous life as a rich family's inherent. A fate encountered him with Celia (Jacklyn), a young call girl from Mainland China with a laudable motive who unfortunately happened to be at a wrong time and a wrong place and ended up with a thug head wanting her dead so badly. What happened next is so predictable that Frank took her under his protection with all the consequences, both from the thugs and from an old timer paltry cop. A Moment of Romance III A sequel in-name-only, the movie find usual leading lady Wu Chien-Lien as a peasant farmer this time, during the 1930s and all those nasty Japanese/Chinese skirmishes. She falls for a Chinese pilot (Andy Lau, in brooding mode) who crashes in her backyard. She nurses him back to health, and they begin to fall in love, but she’s been promised to another and besides, he’s a city boy and she’s a country girl. Will love conquer all?

A West Lake Moment
A West Lake Moment

West Lake Moment is a romance combining fairy tale and modern comedy. Directed by Hong Kong born director Yim Ho (Homecoming), this film features the hottest film stars in Mainland China - Chen Kun and Zhou Xun. Their previous collaborations Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress and Baober in Love were both applauded. The two actors join hands again to enact the delicate love between a couple who encounter each other at the scenic spot of West Lake in Hangzhou. Though filled with lighthearted romance and hilarious lines, an examination of the nature of love in a 21st century cosmopolitan context enriches the film with another dimension. With art direction by William Chang (2046) and cinematography by Pan Heng Sheng (Kung Fu Hustle), this film is simply beautiful to look at...

Guilty of Romance
Guilty of Romance

A dramatic account of three women and their lives, seen through the looking glass of sex, words, madness, death, and family, Guilty of Romance — the new crime noir from the award-winning director Sion Sono (Love Exposure, Cold Fish) — tells the tale of three women entangled in a mystery...a mystery that is the gate to a hell-bound love like no other! Set just before the turn of the 21st century, a grisly murder occurs in Maruyama-cho, Shibuya — a love hotel district — a woman was found dead in a derelict apartment in the pouring rain. Whilst the police investigate, the story interweaves with that of Izumi, the wife of a famous romantic novelist whose life seems just a daily repetition without romance. One day, to break away from the loveless monotony, she decides to follow her desires and accepts a job as a naked model faking sex in front of the camera. Soon she meets with a mentor and starts selling her body to strangers, whilst at home she hides behind the facade that she is still the wife she is supposed to be. Bombarding the audience with graphic images and assaulting the emotions with classical music, Sion Sono has produced a movie that provokes all your senses, blending genres of film noir with drama and mystery, and showcasing the directors trademark style and use of vivid colour to portray emotion and mood, Guilty of Romance is the final and most exhilarating part of Sono's "hate" trilogy.
