Cheol-Min (So Ji-Sub), a man with a dark, mysterious past, picks up a part-time night job as a parking lot attendant. He sits in the tiny pay booth in the parking lot and stares at the small television. A woman named Jung-Hwa (Han Hyo-Joo) walks into the booth. She offers something to Cheol-Min and sits next to him. Cheol-Min realizes the woman is blind and she is confusing him for the parking attendant who worked their previously. Nevertheless, the woman comes back on another night to watch the same television drama series. She constantly asks Cheol-Min questions on what is happening on the television screen. In the film “Santamaria”, Il-do was once a promising police detective in Seoul. But now he is a lowly traffic cop in his hometown, Yeongdeok. His current job issuing speed tickets to reckless drivers, one of whom is Ho-cheol, his former best friend and now a taxi driver.To understand the situation, a look in the past is needed. About 15 years ago, the two were chasing after the same girl. The final winner was Il-do, and Ho-cheol was heartbroken. But soon after, when the two entered military service, they met again at the same base, and this time Ho-cheol emerged with a higher military rank. Being a subordinate, Il-do suffered humiliating treatments, unable to do anything because of Ho-cheol's superior rank.Now, Il-do sees a great chance to settle an old score. As a policeman, he has the right to penalize those who violate traffic regulations in his small town, where there are only a handful of cars. With plenty of time on his hands, Il-do tracks down Ho-cheol's taxi and catches him couple of times a day.

Dong-Cheol (Kim Su-Ro) is an ordinary salaryman. He's also a sweet husband and caring father. Dong-Cheol though finds himself in trouble. He lost a lot money in the stock market and is now in heavy debt. He also has to pay back a cut throat loan shark very soon. Dong-Cheol then meets Man-Ho (Lee Sun-Kyun), who is also in debt. The two men then concoct a plan to kidnap a child for ransom. Unfortunately, their plans go awry with the kid's parents not even answering their calls. They then go after a bigger score. The two men plan to kidnap high school student Tae-Hee (Ko Eun-Ah), whose parents are extremely rich. Things don't go according to plan as Tae-Hee is a troubled teen. Making matters worse, Dong-Cheol answers a phone call and hears, "I kidnapped your daughter. I kidnapped the kidnapper's daughter."
