Kayo Baba (Kyoko Koizumi) is imprisoned on attempted murder charges. She stabbed her husband who had an affair. In the prison, Kayo Baba meets Akemi Adachi (Aiko Morishita), who is in prison for illegal drug possession, Chinatsu Katsuda (Miho Kanno), who is in prison for for tax evasion, Yoko Daimon (Maki Sakai), who is in prison for fraud & embezzlement, and Shinobu Edogawa (Kaho), who is in prison for murder. Chinatsu Katsuda is the leader among the prisoners. Meanwhile, Futaba Wakai (Hikari Mitsushima) is a strict prison officer. She observes the prisoners and tries to help them with education. At first, Kayo Baba finds it difficult to adapt to life prison. She forms a bond with the 4 prisoners. She also learns Shinobu Edogawa is imprisoned due to a miscarriage of justice Six years later, Kayo Baba is released from prison. She meets with Akemi Adachi, Chinatsu Katsuda and Yoko Daimon.
